About Me

Do you find yourself overthinking everything, even the small stuff? Do you hold yourself to impossible standards and then beat yourself up when you fall short? Do you say yes when every part of you is screaming no, and then spend the rest of the day wishing you had not? You are not alone and there is actually a name for what you are experiencing. High functioning anxiety shows up quietly, but it runs your life loudly. I specialize in working with people just like you, people who look like they have it together on the outside but are exhausted on the inside. You deserve more than just getting through the day.

My clients carry a lot and most of them carry it well. But well is not the same as okay. Through our work together you will learn how to say no without the guilt that follows, manage your anxiety so your days feel lighter, navigate the hard moments without falling apart, and have life feel like yours and not something your just surviving.

My path in becoming a therapist was motivated by seeing the failure of adequate diagnosing in the educational system and recognized the need for honest and nurturing therapist to guide clients through learning acceptance and self-advocacy.

I received both my Bachelor’s and Master's in Psychology from California Baptist University. I am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and am a Pre-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT162796) and Pre-Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC2287).

I did not always plan to be a therapist. I started out wanting to be a math teacher, but working alongside my supervisor as a paraeducator changed everything. Watching her make a real difference in her students lives motivated me to switch directions entirely. I found a career built around helping people and I have never looked back. My own personal struggles also shaped this path because someone poured into me when I needed it most and I made a promise to do the same for others.

Outside of sessions, I am recharging on hiking trails, logging miles on long jogs, and yes, singing my heart out at karaoke. I think a therapist who knows how to have fun is a better therapist for it.
